It has only just occurred to me that I have never invested in a good quality statement coat, one that doesn't date, lasts the test of time, is warm and can be thrown on with any outfit and work perfectly - is that asking too much?
Ideally I am looking for something that falls just above the knee as I have tried on full length styles in the past and felt swamped. The best option is to go for a neutral colour such as tan, cream, black, navy or grey as these colours can be mixed and matched with just about any outfit. How stunning is the light grey trench coat (pictured above) with the large lapels and the short sleeved camel overcoat below - swoon!
I am definitely going shopping as soon as our baby girl arrives!
