A few weeks ago I received a gorgeous gift box from Maraca New Zealand and was delighted to find a selection of bodycare products and an absolutely divine scented candle inside. I couldn't wait to test out these products, particularly the bodycare range as I had heard only great things about this luxury lifestyle brand made exclusively in New Zealand.

Each of the collection’s signature scents are designed by founder Chris Lim, whose range includes bodycare products and a home fragrance line that is the epitome of quality and style. I also admire that Maraca does not support animal testing of any kind, and all of the products in the collection are refreshingly paraben, sodium lauryl sulphate, petrochemical and paraffin free – proof that a luxury brand can be gorgeous and ethical!

The candles are individually hand-poured in New Zealand and I can honestly say that the Sunset Dreams candle is the most amazing candle I have ever smelt! A divine fragrance scented with a fruity cocktail of blood orange, alphonso mango and raspberry to create an exotic twist of tropical freshness. The candles are not only decadent in scent but also beautifully packaged, I am truly obsessed with these candles!

I am the first to admit I often only focus on my face (and forget about my body) when it comes to caring for my skin, I was hoping Maraca would change that and they certainly did. The Maraca 'Bloom' collection of bodycare products includes a body wash, body lotion and hand cream and is luxurious in both feel and fragrance. The products are made from all natural ingredients to ensure that your skin is nourished from the outside in. The beautiful Bloom scent holds well, particularly when you layer the products and it is lovely and light without being overpowering on the skin. I love just a hint of fragrance that lingers as the day goes on, which is something I found with this collection.

The body lotion is enriched with rosehip seed, jojoba seed oil, and shea butter, I also love that it is quickly absorbed into the skin and is non-greasy. I don’t usually use a hand cream but this one compliments the other bodycare products so nicely I will admit I am now a convert! This is definitely a brand I will be using for years to come.
